Whole-house renovation
Strip back to brick where it's needed, rewire, replumb, replaster, then rebuild the layout properly. Usually the right call on a probate purchase or a house that hasn't been touched since the 80s.
// Essex-wide · Home Renovations
We've spent over 20 years renovating homes across Essex and London. Whether you're after more space, a better layout or a full refurbishment, we run the whole job from start to finish. We're on the road around All of Essex every week, so getting out for a quote is no trouble.

// What you get
We cover the whole of Essex with one full-time team. No subcontracting the awkward bits out, no different faces every week. If you're outside our usual patch we'll let you know on the phone before we waste your time, and the quote is always free.
// Home Renovations in All of Essex
One full-time crew, all trades in-house, one written quote and a single point of contact through to handover. All of Essex (Essex-wide) sits well inside our regular run, so getting out for a quote is no trouble and there's no call-out fee.
Property-wise, All of Essex is everything from period cottages to new-build estates. That matters for home renovations because every job has its own quirks - what works in a 1930s semi doesn't always suit a new build, and we plan accordingly. Wherever you are in the county, we'll come and look first, then quote in writing.
Recent home renovations jobs have taken us into Chelmsford, Brentwood, Romford, Basildon, Southend, Colchester, Harlow and Braintree - so if you're in or near All of Essex, we're probably on your road most weeks anyway.
When you ask us for home renovations in All of Essex, you get one team for the whole job, a fixed written quote before we start, and a single point of contact from first visit to handover. No subcontractors disappearing halfway, no surprise extras on the invoice.

Every quote is line by line, so if the budget is tight you can see exactly what to drop without guessing. And if we think something is not worth spending money on, we will say so.
// Types of job
Strip back to brick where it's needed, rewire, replumb, replaster, then rebuild the layout properly. Usually the right call on a probate purchase or a house that hasn't been touched since the 80s.
Knock-through into an open-plan kitchen-diner, new flooring throughout, steels where walls come out, and full redecoration. The most common job we run.
New kitchen and bathroom in one visit, so the plumbing, electrics and tiling are all done by the same crew instead of three separate trades blaming each other.
Fast, cost-controlled works to get a property let or on the market. We'll tell you honestly which jobs add value and which ones don't.
Lath-and-plaster repairs, sash window overhauls, lime mortar, cornice matching. Careful work on older Essex stock without stripping the character out of it.
Adding space and reworking what's already there as one job, on one schedule, with one price. Cheaper and quicker than doing it in two phases.

Yes. We can work to your architect's drawings or use our own contacts, and we run every trade so you only need one point of contact.
For a lot of jobs yes. We'll talk through phasing and dust protection at the planning stage to keep the disruption down.
Clear stage payments tied to milestones, agreed in writing before we start. No surprises.
Full renovations in Essex vary hugely - a single-room refurb might be £8,000, a whole-house refresh £45,000+. We quote line-by-line so you can drop items in or out.
Each Essex authority is slightly different - we'll check the rules for your specific postcode before we quote anything that might need consent.
We cover Chelmsford, Brentwood, Romford and the rest of the Essex postcodes - and anywhere within a 20-minute drive of the town centre. There's no call-out fee and the first visit is free.
Lead times in Essex are usually two to four weeks for smaller jobs and four to eight weeks for extensions or full renovations. Once you accept the quote we'll lock the start date in writing.
A single-room refurbishment usually lands between £4,000 and £9,000. A full ground-floor renovation is typically £25,000 to £55,000, and a whole-house renovation on a three-bed is £60,000 to £120,000 depending on how much structural, electrical and plumbing work is needed. We quote line by line so you can see where every pound goes.
A single room is one to two weeks. A ground-floor renovation is usually six to ten weeks. A whole-house renovation on a three-bed runs twelve to twenty weeks. We give you a written programme before we start and update you weekly.
Internal work almost never needs planning permission, though structural changes need Building Control approval and we handle that. You will need planning if you are extending, altering the roofline, or the property is listed or in a conservation area. We will tell you which applies at the quote stage.
For a lot of jobs, yes. We phase the work so you keep a working kitchen or bathroom for as long as possible, seal off the site with dust protection and keep power and water on outside working hours. For a full-house strip-out it is usually easier and cheaper to move out for a few weeks.
Our core trades are in-house on one full-time crew. Gas and electrical work is done by our own certified engineers. That means one quote, one schedule and one person to ring if something needs sorting.
Stage payments tied to milestones, agreed in writing before we start. No large deposits up front, and the final payment is only due once you have walked the snag list with us.
Yes to both. We carry full public liability insurance and you get a written agreement covering scope, price, programme and payment stages before any work begins.
Regularly. We work to a fixed budget and a fixed date, prioritise the work that actually affects letting or sale value, and can hand back ready to photograph.
